Applying to Pace

All applicants submit online application and $95 application fee.

Our deadline to apply for the fall of 2012 has passed. Please contact us (Lower School, Jennifer McGurn, 404-926-3710; Middle and Upper School, Claire Strowd, 404-240-9109) before submitting a late application.

Lower School Application Process

Lower School forms and process:

JATP Information
Submit results of JATP by March 1. Required testing must be administered by a participant of the Joint Admissions Testing Program (JATP). Send JATP application form and applicable testing fee to one of the JATP psychologists listed. Scheduling should be completed as soon as possible. Psychologists will send results directly to Pace Academy.

Official Transcript Release Form
Submit transcript (grades 1-5) by March 1. Send signed transcript release to your child's current school; transcripts must come directly from the school

Teacher Evaluation Form (pre-first)
Submit completed teacher recommendation form (pre-first grade) between January 1-March 1. The lead teacher must complete the recommendation form, and additional copies may be completed by other teachers. Recommendations must come directly from the school.

Teacher Evaluation Form (grades 1-4)
Submit completed teacher recommendation form (grades 1-4) between January 1-March 1. The lead teacher must complete the recommendation form, and additional copies may be completed by other teachers. Recommendations must come directly from the school.

Teacher Evaluation Form (grades 5-12)
Submit completed teacher recommendation form (grade 5) between January 1-March 1. The lead teacher must complete the recommendation form, and additional copies may be completed by other teachers. Recommendations must come directly from the school.

Attend small group observation at Pace; register for observation sessions as part of the online application process.

Middle & Upper School Application Process

Middle & Upper School forms and process:

Official Transcript Release Form
Submit transcript by March 1. Send signed transcript release form to your child's current school; transcripts must come directly from the sending school. Please ask the school to send the transcript, which should reflect the first half of the academic year, after January 1.

Teacher Evaluation Form (grades 5-12)
Submit completed teacher recommendation forms by March 1. Send teacher evaluation forms to your child's current English and math teachers. If student has the same teacher for math and English, please select a second academic teacher to complete a recommendation. Recommendations must come directly from the sending school. Please ask the school to submit evaluations between January 1-March 1.

Principal/Counselor Evaluation Form
Submit completed principal/counselor recommendation form to an administrator at your child's school. Recommendations must come directly from the sending school. Please ask the school to submit evaluations between January 1-March 1.

Submit results of Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) by March 1. Register at www.ssat.org; Pace Academy's school code is 5626. Results must be sent by SSAT directly to Pace Academy.

Attend personal interview (small group for 6th-grade applicants, individual for grades 7-12). Parents will be contacted to schedule a date for the interview; most interviews take place from late January-early March.
