Diversity at Pace

The admissions office at Pace Academy has implemented diversity initiatives that have increased Pace’s visibility and highlighted its commitment to family and community engagement. We continue to build relationships with community organizations that embody our mission of excellence in education. As the Director of Diversity, I believe that the purpose of every effective educational program is to assist students in bridging the gap between themselves and the world. Here at Pace, our students thrive at one of the most accomplished private schools in Atlanta. We understand that an ever-changing world requires that we build values into our differences and sustain those values through our educational practices.

Diversity at Pace begins with educating our students, broadening their outlooks and creating more opportunities for continuous growth that reflects the progress of the world. We have facilitated interactions and discussions of difference by exploring the many meanings of diversity. We have gone beyond race-based thinking and built relationships with other institutions and individuals dedicated to creating lasting, positive impacts on the lives of students.

Our goal is always to be better and show leadership. Through our diversity initiatives, we reach that goal by continuing to educate and foster an environment where every person listens and learns from each other. We help students engage with people—inside and outside the classroom—who look, act or believe differently than they do. We welcome people from all backgrounds and places with different views of the world into the Pace family.

I look forward to meeting you and your family during the admissions process!

My best,

Philip McAdoo

Director of Diversity
