Leadership Pace

A New Generation of Leaders

In the spring of 2016, the Pace Academy Alumni Office launched Leadership Pace, a program designed to foster the next generation of school leadership–facilitating deep alumni engagement with the school, the community and fellow alumni.

Pace has a long tradition of developing leaders who are prepared, confident citizens of the world, honoring the values and legacy of their alma mater. Now, we strive to further activate and connect our expansive network of distinguished alumni strategically, for a greater purpose.

The Program

Leadership Pace aims to increase overall alumni involvement, educate participants about the school’s operations and long-term direction, allow for in-depth interactions with school leaders and provide opportunities for meaningful volunteer involvement. In just three years, Leadership Pace has become a sought-after opportunity for alumni, one that will continue to shape the school’s future.

Leadership Pace’s goals are threefold:

  1. Strategically strengthen alumni leaders' connections to one another and to Pace
  2. Offer alumni participants an insider perspective into school operations, purposeful interactions with school leaders and a voice as to the school’s direction
  3. Inspire alumni to give back to Pace in personally meaningful ways, while serving the school's mission

The Retreat

Leadership Pace kicks off with your required attendance at a two-day retreat on Feb. 23 and 24, 2020 at Pace Academy. Additional opportunities for involvement will be available upon graduation from Leadership Pace.

The retreat is an opportunity for participants to hear from school leadership, learn about strategic priorities and the Alumni Association and hear from students about what Pace is like today.

The Application

The Leadership Pace Executive Committee selects 16 participants based on an application process. The group selected will represent a diverse mix of community involvements, professional backgrounds, personal interests and graduation years (1964–2015). Interested in participating in the program? Applications for the 2021 session will be available in November.
