School Psychologist
Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. This position will work in collaboration with counselors and Division Heads to develop student wellness programs, and to provide training and development to faculty, staff, parents and caregivers as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address SEL topics such as but not limited to mental wellness, anxiety, peer conflict, stress management, self-identity, etc.

Collaborates with school leadership, faculty, counselors and Pace Board to develop a broader set of tools and programs to promote the overall well-being of our students, faculty, and parents

Conduct classroom observations and initial assessments using evidence-based assessment tools (BASC, Conners, WISC, Vanderbilt, etc.)

Consult with counseling team and Academic Resource Center (ARC) to identify and monitor mental health student supports

Provide research-based resources, workshops and training to parents, faculty, coaching staff and others on strategies to promote wellness for student success

Engage in crisis/grief management counseling in response to tragedies that impact the Pace community

Support faculty and counseling team with behavior intervention plans

Conduct risk assessments, safety contracts and interventions, and make referrals to outpatient care as needed

Campus Store Manager
CAMPUS STORE MANAGER
Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, with an enrollment of 1,115 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. Pace is hiring a Campus Store Manager who plans, organizes, and directs the operation of the School’s campus store. This position works full-time during the school year from August – May, with June – July 15 off, and reports back to work in mid-July. This role is responsible for all aspects of the campus store operations including inventory and sales management, implementation of marketing initiatives, financial controls and budget management. The preferred candidate will be someone who is energetic, creative, organized, detail oriented, is self-motivated and is a team player. This position reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs and works closely with the Auxiliary Programs and Business Office staffs.
General Duties

Processes sales of logo gear, merchandise, and additional items as needed.

Responsible for stocking merchandise and for all aspects of inventory ordering and control in store and in auxiliary locations for sales during athletic events.

Ensures the store is stocked and merchandise is displayed in an appealing manner.

Keeps detailed records of merchandise received; ensures the data entry of goods received and sold.

Accountable for the monies collected from transactions including balancing receipts and preparing cash deposits.

Maintains budget, balances cash, and controls expenses.

Conducts store inventory in compliance with the School’s policies and auditor recommendations.

Coordinates marketing initiatives including social media presence within the School’s communication guidelines.

Coordinates campus store activities with other departments within the School. Provides operating hours during key student, parent, alumni and athletic events.

Coordinates with Athletics department on team orders as needed.

Coordinates with Athletics and Business Office to assist in management of School concession stands and snack bar as needed.

Provide functional direction, training, scheduling, and staff supervision of parent volunteers.

Requirements

Prior experience working in a retail management position preferred.

Maintenance Associate
Maintenance Associate
Pace Academy, one of Atlanta's top independent schools, with an enrollment of 1,115 students in Pre-First through 12th grade, seeks a Maintenance Associate. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt, benefits-eligible position. The Maintenance Associate performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance repair service of facility systems, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building systems, field maintenance, and school equipment under the direction of the Director of Facilities. The Maintenance Associate completes and maintains required documents as directed and according to established procedures. They perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all facilities and aspects of the campus required to operate the school. They also assist inspectors, manufacturer representatives, engineers, officials, and others as needed, required, and/or directed. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with flexibility to work overtime. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, sense of humor, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently, confidence in decision-making skills, punctuality, self-motivation and commitment to the work schedule is essential.
Essential work skills and tasks
- Ability to safely and properly use hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, saws, etc.
- Remove broken windows and replace using putty or other appropriate methods.
- Repair or replace door hardware i.e., locks, closers, panic devices, etc.
- Assemble various projects and equipment i.e., shelving units, furniture, etc.

- Ability (or ability to learn) to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
- Repair/replace fuses, circuit breakers, ballasts, transformers, electric switches, outlets, disconnects, and other electrical equipment following electrical specifications with direction.
- Safely operate and maintain tractors, mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers, with direction.
- Ability to operate small backhoe, bobcat for loading/unloading, athletic field paint sprayer preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a valid Georgia driver license with an acceptable driving record.
- Possess a working knowledge of accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance and facility support trades.
- Ability to comprehend and understand blueprints/diagrams/drawings.
- High level of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Rudimentary knowledge of the construction trades.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation to athletic injuries in a supportive role to the coaching staff. Provides supervision at designated Middle and Upper School practices and games.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in a health-related profession.
· Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)

The Lower School is characterized by joy in learning and discovery among students and teachers. The division enrolls 380 students from Pre-First through fifth grade, with three homerooms at each grade level. Pace seeks a Lower School Director of Student Life. The director is responsible for promoting and maintaining a healthy, vital student community and school climate, as well as strong relationships with families and the extended community. The position is part of the Lower School Leadership Team and works closely with students and their families, the Lower School counselor, fellow administrators and faculty to advance student achievement and well-being. The director establishes guidelines for student behavior to ensure that all students maximize their academic and social potential. Collaborate closely with ARC staff on student needs and assessments by communicating information with parents/caregivers and outside professionals and maintaining appropriate student records.

Design and implement small groups to meet the social-emotional needs of students.

Maintain a positive presence during the school day (i.e., before school, during carpool and at lunch) and attend all major Lower School events.

Lead anti-bullying programming with the Lower School counselor and the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Collaborate with the Office of DEI to ensure all students and families feel welcome and a part of the Pace community.

Collaborate with the school-wide counseling team and deans to plan ongoing faculty and staff education regarding student mental wellness, QPR, Darkness2Light and similar initiatives.
Parent Education and Support

Provide leadership in the area of parent education and foster a positive partnership between parents and the school.

Collaborate with the Pace counseling team, the School Psychologist and the Office of DEI to develop ongoing and new parent programs that support the emotional and social well-being of students and healthy parenting practices.
Faculty Education and Support

In partnership with the Lower School Leadership Team, design and implement professional development for Lower School faculty in the areas of mental wellness, Responsive Classroom and restorative justice practices.
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education and/or psychology

The substitute teacher provides instruction, manages the classroom and promotes student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher in either a grade-level homeroom or in a special subject. Knight Crew associates supervise children, aged 5 to 11, in the after-school program between 1:45-6:00pm daily, according to the school year calendar (typically August through May).
