Staff Accountant
Staff Accountant

Alumni Manager
Alumni Manager
Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, Ga., with an enrollment of approximately 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grades. Pace has an opening for an Alumni Manager position in Advancement. This is a 12-month exempt position.
The position of Alumni Manager reports to the Associate Director of Advancement and is integral to the success of Pace Academy’s advancement program. The job executes the day-to-day operations of strategic alum programs and events. The Alumni Manager will also provide guidance and support to the Pace Academy Alumni Association and manage the Alumni Board. In addition, the Alumni Manager works closely with the Pace Fund Director to secure support for the Alumni Fund, the school’s annual fund for alums, as well as other fundraising initiatives that will occur in the future.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the direct liaison and Advancement office support for the Alumni Association, providing direction to the Alumni Association Board and coordinating volunteer communications from all Alumni Association Board meetings.

Provide board reports to the Director of Advancement and Alumni Association President for each Board of Trustees meeting; oversee and maintain the Alumni Office and Alumni Association budgets.

Plan and implement all alumni calendar events and work with the Advancement Events Manager on the execution of alumni programs and events, including reunion and homecoming weekend, Leadership Pace, the Knight Cap, Golden Knights events, and other strategic annual alums fundraising and programming initiatives.

Coordinate all aspects of the following alumni-sponsored award programs: Alumni Scholar Award (maintain committee and voting procedures), Pace Academy Alumni Awards (Service, Distinguished Alumnus/a, Young Alumnus/a), the Clyde Reese Award, and the Kessler Award.

Work closely with the Communications Department and Advancement Database Manager to establish and maintain information tracking for alumni and parents of alumni records, recognition, and ongoing communications.

Work closely with the Communications Department to provide alumni updates and news for Pace digital and print publications and social media.

Work collaboratively with the Admissions Office to assist with alum tours, the admissions process, and other internal Pace departments when necessary.

Coordinate alumni volunteer recruitment efforts for the Alumni Fund, alumni reunions, programs, and events. Once alumni volunteers are recruited, provide guidance and training to engage them in their volunteer roles and responsibilities.

Support alumni volunteers as needed, including responding to their requests, addressing their expectations, and replying to messages. Work closely with the Advancement Database Manager to distribute volunteer reports.

Work in collaboration with the Pace Fund Director to solicit alumni for the Alumni Fund and meet designated dollar and participation goals.

Work in partnership with all members of the Advancement team to meet annual giving, capital giving, and participation goals for alumni and the parents of alumni.

Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to articulate advances and trends in fundraising best practices in independent schools, both regionally and nationally; regularly participate in various professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum 1-3 years of fundraising, relationship-oriented sales or alumni relations experience, with a proven track record in the non-profit or business industries.

Campus Store Manager
CAMPUS STORE MANAGER

Pace is hiring a Campus Store Manager who plans, organizes, and directs the operation of the School’s campus store. This position works full-time during the school year from August – May, with June – July 15 off, and reports back to work in mid-July. General Duties

Maintenance Associate
Maintenance Associate

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt, benefits-eligible position. The Maintenance Associate performs semi-skilled to skilled maintenance repair service of facility systems, such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building systems, field maintenance, and school equipment under the direction of the Director of Facilities. The Maintenance Associate completes and maintains required documents as directed and according to established procedures. They perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all facilities and aspects of the campus required to operate the school. They also assist inspectors, manufacturer representatives, engineers, officials, and others as needed, required, and/or directed. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with flexibility to work overtime. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, sense of humor, and problem-solving skills. Pace Academy is looking for an Associate Director of Middle School Admissions to begin July 1, 2023. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position, and will report to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an integral member of the Pace Academy admissions team, the Associate Director of Middle School Admissions works closely with colleagues, students, parents, and constituency groups to promote the school and help manage all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment. The Associate Director will be an active member of the school community and must intimately understand its programs and mission. They will recruit prospective families, represent the school at admissions events on and off campus, develop and maintain strong relationships with feeder schools, analyze enrollment trends and strategize solutions, work comfortably with enrollment software, maintain a presence in the Atlanta marketplace, and curate written and social media content. The Associate Director must work very closely with the rest of the admissions team to advance the mission of our K-12 school.
Qualified candidates must possess exceptional organization, time management and oral and written communication skills; maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information; demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and diversity; possess a strong work ethic and a personality that is enthusiastic, outgoing and warm; and show a desire to know and care for students and their wellbeing. The best candidates must understand the distinct aspects of an independent school education and be able to articulate that experience to a diverse group of prospective families. They will have demonstrated a proven ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external constituents of the Pace community, and a desire to work diligently and strategically to grow that constituency group.

PRIMARY ADMISSIONS RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the school and its program to prospective families through meetings, tours, fairs and other community events
- Develop and maintain relationships with applicant families to provide counsel throughout the admission process
- Help recruit and manage student and parent volunteers in support of the admissions process
- Manage scheduling of divisional group and individual tours, student shadow visits and student interviews
- Research the academic programs and learn cultures of feeder schools

The preferred candidate will be someone who is reliable, organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated. This position reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs and works closely with the Auxiliary Programs and Business Office staff.
General Duties
- Processes sales of gear, merchandise, and additional items as needed
- Responsible for stocking merchandise and assisting with inventory management
- Ensures the store is stocked and merchandise is displayed in an appealing manner
- Responsible for preparing daily sales reports and reconciliation
- Conducts store inventory
- Available on occasions to provide extended operating hours during key student, parent, alumni and athletic events, including night and weekends
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a retail position preferred.
- Knowledge of retail practices and procedures, including those of cashiering and inventory control.
- Work self-sufficiently
- Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends for special events
- Must have strong data entry and computer skills and be a quick learner at new systems

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with the Middle School head coach, the assistant coach is responsible for supporting various aspects of the girls lacrosse program. The coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Pace Academy.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
• Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Pace Academy;
• Candidate must have experience coaching and a good understanding of how to work with Grade 6-8 student-athletes;
• A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept;
• Effective leadership and coaching skills;
• Good communication skills with players, parents, and the Athletics Department;
• Energetic, self-motivated, flexible, punctual, dependable, and a team player.

· Bachelor’s degree in a health-related profession.
· Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC)

· Physical requirements include lifting (up to 75 pounds), carrying, driving, climbing, the ability to move distances within and between buildings and fields, and the ability to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures.
