Pace Academy continues to build a strong tradition of academic excellence while offering a wide range of successful and important extracurricular activities including athletics.
In keeping with the overall Pace’s motto, “To have the courage to strive for excellence,” Pace Academy’s STUDENT-athletes should use sports as a significant educational component in helping to grow mentally, physically and emotionally with a focus on becoming future higher-education, community and business leaders.

Pace Academy is very proud that its students have used Pace Athletics as means to advance to prestigious universities, including Stanford, Harvard, Amherst, Vanderbilt, The U.S. Naval Academy and UNC. Our students also continue their participation in athletics both at the club level and as youth coaches after graduation.
MIDDLE & UPPER SCHOOL ATHLETICS
The Office of Athletics invites all Middle and Upper School students to complete an athletics interest form at the beginning of the school year. Prior to each season, the Office of Athletics sends detailed pre-season information, including important dates, tryout plans, team expectations, equipment requirements, etc.
Coaches welcome interest from experienced and inexperienced athletes, and a combination of cut and no-cut sports are offered each season, ensuring that all students––grades six through 12––are able to participate in multiple sports throughout the school year. This can vary year to year based on interest levels.
In the Middle School, more than 90% of students choose to participate in at least one of our 21 competitive teams. Over 80% of Upper School students play at least one sport and may choose from 35 competitive teams. Pace competes in the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAAA's Region 5.
