Rain, rain, please go away! While the weather has cancelled several scheduled competitions, some teams have been lucky enough to play. Click here to see how our Upper School teams have fared. Middle School spring games continue next week! Check out their respective schedules.

On Feb. 19, the varsity boys basketball team defeated Beach High School to advance to the Elite Eight round of the state tournament. Game date, time and location have not yet been set. Follow Pace Athletics on Twitter and Instagram for updates. 

This Friday, Feb. 21, at our Riverview Sports Complex, the varsity soccer teams host McIntosh at 6 and 8 p.m. at Walsh Field, and baseball hosts Mays High School at 5:55 p.m. JV and varsity girls lacrosse play at Marist at 5:30 and 7 p.m., respectively.

Looking ahead: Tennis plays North Atlanta High School and Wesleyan in exciting matches next week; baseball travels to North Hall on Feb. 25 for a 5:55 p.m. start; varsity soccer visits Lovett for a Tuesday Tango at 5 and 7 p.m.; and varsity lacrosse plays St. Pius on Thrilling Thursday. Congratulations to our varsity swim teams, which placed 13th at this past weekend’s state meet! Senior Erin Hood led the way, grabbing runner-up medals in two events. Three Pace wrestlers participate in the state tournament Feb. 13-15 in Macon, Ga. Log in to your NFHS Network account to watch sophomores Xavier Agostino, George Blaha and Sam Howe compete live. 

It’s basketball playoff time! The varsity girls travel to North Hall on Friday, Feb. 14, for a 6 p.m. tip-off, and the boys host North Hall on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 3 p.m. The Booster Club will cover the cost of student tickets. Looking ahead: Our soccer teams, fresh off several convincing region wins, look to grab victories against Redan at Avondale Stadium on Thursday, Feb. 13. Riverview Sports Complex will be hopping this Saturday, Feb. 15, with Middle School lacrosse and a varsity baseball doubleheader. Track and field will spend Saturday at the Marietta Distance Carnival. Then, varsity boys and girls lacrosse will kick off their home schedules on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and Friday, Feb. 21, respectively. Check the Athletics Calendar and cheer on our Pace Knights!

Now in the midst of the region basketball tournament, several members of the varsity girls and boys basketball teams have been named to Georgia High School Association All-Region teams. 

Senior Jordan Upchurch (pictured) was selected as the girls Region 5AAA Co-Player of the Year, while junior Matthew Cleveland was named Region 5AAA Player of the Year. Senior Virginia Hobbs and juniors Madison Durr and Cole Middleton received All-Region First Team honors, while sophomore Josh Reed was named Second Team All-Region. Way to go, Knights!
