This past spring, alumnus Scott Horowitz ’84 endowed the Horowitz Athletics Leadership Award, which seeks to recognize and promote leadership capabilities in Pace’s student-athletes.

Each spring, one boy and one girl in the junior class receive the award. Recipients consistently demonstrate qualities that represent positive athletics leadership. They are selfless teammates who lead by example and inspire those around them. They develop positive relationships with their coaches and exemplify sportsmanship, fairness, a relentless work ethic and unwavering commitment. In short, they personify Pace’s motto, To have the courage to strive for excellence.

The 2019-2020 winners were current seniors Jamie Kornheiser and Logan Baker. Together, they will lead the Athletics Leadership Council, a new initiative during the 2020-2021 school year. Learn more in this article from the Atlanta Jewish Times.
