The varsity boys soccer team opened up the first round of state playoffs at home versus Fannin County High School on April 23. After a defensive first half in which the Fannin County goalkeeper made some important saves to keep them in the game, the Knights opened up the score with a goal from junior Samuel Bready. A few minutes later, senior Jorge Gonzalez-Hernandez scored two goals to put the score line at 3-0 heading into halftime.
The second half saw the Knights take control of the game on goals scored by senior Logan Baker, junior Jeffrey Ramos and Gonzalez-Hernandez, culminating in a final 6-0 victory. Please come out to support the team at Riverview in the second round of the state tournament on Thursday, April 29.
