The varsity girls cross-country team raced in Cartersville Friday, Sept. 24, and finished third overall. Sophomore Caroline Hood led the team with a second-place finish in a time of 18:12, a new school record. Senior Laura Arenth placed 14th in a time of 19:10; senior Kate Jonas followed with a time of 19:47. Senior Jordan White broke the 20-minute barrier for the first time ever, placing 28th overall with a time of 19:54. Freshman Olivia Resnick was 69th with a time of 21:22. 

The varsity boys finished seventh overall. Highlights included senior Edward Blaha finishing fourth with a time of 15:40. Seniors Grant Thompson and Robert Mallis finished 25th and 40th, respectively, with times of 16:37 and 16:57. Senior George Blaha ran a 17:12, and senior Kargil Behl ran a 17:36.

The Knights’ freshman boys also had an outstanding race and finished fifth overall in the freshman division. Freshmen runners included Benjamin Ganz, Brian Silverboard, Jake Jones, Eric Pan and Caleb Amar.
