Football Represents Knight Nation on ESPN2

This past Saturday, Aug. 28, the varsity football team traveled to Rabun County High School in Tiger, Ga., to take on the Wildcats in a game televised nationally on ESPN2. Sophomores Christain Johnson and Terrence Kiel carried the Knights’ offense with strong rushing performances, helping the team rush for more than 120 yards on the evening.

Johnson erupted for a 66-yard touchdown run on the Knights’ opening drive. Sophomore quarterback Maddox Crawford threw a 63-yard pass to senior Jae Williams that led to a 2-yard touchdown run for Johnson. Defensively, senior Xavier Agostino and sophomore Jayden Mock had strong performances rushing the passer; each tallied a sack for the evening.

Ultimately, the Knights fell to the Wildcats 47-14, but look forward to hosting Westminster at Riverview on Friday, Sept. 3, at 7:30 p.m.
