Girls Basketball Earns Three Region Victories

The varsity girls basketball team went 3-0 last week, making major strides against three region opponents. The Knights took down Hampton, Mount Zion and McDonough in high fashion. Sophomore guard Kate Grice led the team in scoring on Jan. 24 with a career-high 25 points, while freshman Lawson Monroe pulled down eight rebounds. On Jan. 27, sophomore Ryan Wrigley and junior Reed Millner put in great performances down the stretch and throughout the game against Mount Zion. The team capped off the week with a stellar start-to-finish effort against McDonough on Jan. 28. The Knights look to continue their momentum in another huge, three-game week as they take on Stockbridge, Woodland and Lovett.
