Softball Grabs Region Victories Over CSK, Booker T. Washington & South Atlanta

On Monday, Sept. 27, the varsity softball team scored 18 runs and held the Coretta Scott King Soaring Eagles to two. With the win, the Knights improved to 12-5 on the season. Sophomore Elizabeth Jonas led the way with three hits, while juniors Sophia Mador and Emma Beth Neville added three RBIs each. Mador also delivered a fine performance in the pitcher’s circle. 

The varsity softball team went on to play a double header against Booker T. Washington on Sept. 28 and won both games. Junior Madison Hadley held Washington to just one run across three innings, while Mador tossed five scoreless. At the plate, Hadley added four hits and four runs batted in. Freshman Kate Grice tacked on three hits, pushed in three more runs and ran across the plate five times! 

The Knights ended an eventful week with double-header victories against South Atlanta at the View on Sept. 30; they won both games 15-0.  Senior Marissa Goodman led the way at the plate for the Knights, batting in five runs on her own. Freshman Livie Lynch added two hits, while batting in four of her team’s runs.
