On Sunday, Sept. 25, the water polo club team jumped out to an 8-2 first period lead before Forsyth’s defense started to slow them down. In the second period, the Knights added three goals and allowed four to hold an 11-6 halftime lead. In the third period, Forsyth outscored the Knights 6-2, so it was 13-12 Knights. The excitement continued in the fourth period with Forsyth pressing hard as the Knights tried to hold them off. Both teams scored twice, and a last-second shot by Forsyth would have tied the game, but sophomore goalie Quinn Culpepper made an amazing save to secure the win for Pace. Junior Avi Narula led the Knights in scoring with seven goals; senior Barrett Hight had two goals and two assists; junior Walker Smith had two goals; junior Lane Canova had one goal and four assists; senior Aidan Carroll had one goal and two assists; and sophomore Reid Richardson had three assists. The great win for the Knights brought their record to 10-3 on the season.
