Making Waves to Fight Cancer

Last weekend, the Pace Academy Aqua Knights once again took part in Swim Across America (SAA) in support of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. They hosted coin wars, collected donations and participated in an open-water swim at Lake Lanier Olympic Park to fund Cancer research, clinical trials and patient programs. This year, the Aqua Knights had record participation from Pace students at the event, and the team raised $5,652.86, putting them in the top 15 teams of this event. Senior and team captain Marielle Frooman received the WaveMaker badge for raising over $1000 (she personally raised $2,061.45).

Please congratulate the Aqua Knights on their amazing contributions.
