Join the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Conversations: Voices & Lenses, a series of three virtual sessions spotlighting perspectives that will help the Pace community engage more deeply in conversations about race.

Session #1 - Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m.: Dr. Troy Baker - Learning and Leading While Black

Director of Student Life Dr. Troy Baker will share his experiences as a Black man in educational settings from the perspective of a student and an educational leader in independent schools. He will also unpack the concepts of Black excellence and Black boy joy and the importance of affirming them in our communities.

Session #2 - Sunday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m.: Kyle Korver - Acknowledging Our Blind Spots

Pace parent and former NBA star Kyle Korver will talk about his blind spots when addressing matters of race, highlighting the importance of acknowledging privilege and “learning and unlearning" to build authentic relationships and community.

Session #3 - Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m.: Community Conversation - A Concerto is a Conversation

Sundance Film Festival’s short film A Concerto is a Conversation will be the springboard to a community conversation. After showing the film, we will examine the question posed by award-winning Black composer and filmmaker Kris Bowers: “Am I supposed to be here?”
