Ferrell Elected to NACAC Board of Trustees

Director of College Counseling Jonathan Ferrell has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC)—a remarkable honor for both Ferrell and our school community.

NACAC represents more than 28,000 members nationwide, including college and secondary school counselors, admission officers, community-based organizations and education-focused nonprofits. The organization plays a vital role in shaping the future of college admission, and Ferrell’s election places him at the forefront of that work on a national scale.

Now in his ninth year at Pace, Ferrell is no stranger to leadership in this field. Already well-known throughout the South, he previously served as president of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling (SACAC). Now, his expertise and vision will help guide NACAC’s mission of advancing access, equity and opportunity for students across the country.

“After 18 years as a NACAC member and a breadth of leadership roles on the regional level, including serving as president of the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling, I decided to throw my name into the ring and run for a national position,” Ferrell says. “I am honored to now join the ranks of 17 other professionals across the country elected by the membership to serve NACAC’s more than 28,000 members as we work together to advance access, equity and opportunity for students.”

Ferrell will be officially installed on Saturday, Sept. 20, during NACAC’s national conference in Columbus, Ohio.
