Isdell Global Leaders Discuss Vaccine Readiness

Our 2020-2021 Isdell Global Leaders (IGLs) led Dec. 10’s Upper School virtual assembly with a presentation about historical “trust gaps” that have emerged between various populations and medical providers.

The IGLs focused on women, African Americans, Hasidic Jewish communities and Native Americans and helped students better understand how these gaps might affect an individual’s willingness to take the new COVID-19 vaccine. They also highlighted the importance of medical researchers including these populations in the development and testing phases of new technologies and medicines.
