“Metamorphoses” Opens Tonight!

The Upper School theatre season kicks off today—and we want YOU to be part of it! Join the cast and crew of Metamorphoses for performances on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 22, at 3:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center (make Friday all about Pace spirit and go from the play to the varsity football game—it’s Senior Night!).

The play by Mary Zimmerman is composed of a series of vignettes that take the audience on an imaginative journey through Ovid’s classic stories. Told through narration and innovative shadow play, Metamorphoses juxtaposes the ancient and the contemporary in both language and image to reflect the variety and persistence of narrative in the face of inevitable change.

The 45-minute production, an entrant in the Georgia High School Association's One-Act competition, is free, open to the public and appropriate for all ages. All 20+ members of the cast and crew are fully vaccinated; however, masks are required for audience members. Nothing beats live theatre, so performances will not be streamed online.
