This Week in Athletics: Volleyball Area Championship & Friday Knight Lights

It’s a big week for our Pace Knights! Tonight, the varsity volleyball team will travel to Lovett to take on the Lions in the area championship. The game starts at 7 p.m. Admission is $6, and the first 50 Pace students will get in free when showing a student ID. Come out and cheer on the Knights!

Then, kick off your weekend on Friday evening at Riverview Sports Complex’s Walsh Field as the varsity football team hosts Therrell High School at 7:30 p.m. Please note these game-day reminders:

  • Tickets (for adults and non-Pace students) are $7—CASH ONLY—unless you are a member of the Booster Club (and then admission is free for up to two adults). It’s not too late to join the Booster Club. Memberships are available at a variety of levels, some of which include reserved parking spots at Riverview (a limited number remain).

  • All current Pace students and faculty/staff may attend the game free of charge.

  • The student-section game-day theme is Country Western.

  • Stadium gates open at 6 p.m.

  • We’ll celebrate our senior mountain bikers and cross-country runners at halftime.

  • More Junior Knight cheerleaders will cheer during the first quarter of the game and will perform between the first and second quarters. You will not want to miss it!

  • Our Lower School Wristband Challenge also continues. Any Lower School student in attendance will receive a wristband; those who attend three of the Knights’ four regular-season home games will be entered to win an end-of-season prize. Stop by the concession stand and grab your wristband.

Can’t make a game? You can watch Middle School, club, junior varsity and varsity games that take place in the Inman Center and natatorium and at Riverview Sports Complex’s softball field, multi-purpose field and Walsh Field on www.nfhsnetwork.com.
