Each year, thousands of students all over the country enter the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for the opportunity to earn scholarships and have their works exhibited or published. This year, Upper School student-artists received 23 Scholastic Art Awards in categories including painting, photography, sculpture and ceramics.

Four students received Gold Keys, a designation that represents “the very best work submitted to local programs.” Senior Jared Rayman earned a Gold Key in ceramics, while juniors India Behl, Blaise Reyes and Tanner Walton were recognized with Gold Keys in photography. Walton’s work received two Gold Keys. Gold Key-winning entries will be displayed at the Savannah College of Art and Design in March and are automatically submitted for national-level recognition.
