Class of 2030

What year did you start at Pace?

I joined Pace in sixth grade.

Why did you choose Pace?

The faculty is very kind, and they made me feel welcomed and like I belonged here.

Describe the activities you are involved in at Pace.

I have been on the Pace volleyball team since sixth grade. I also play violin. I started working with the admissions crew just a few months after starting at Pace and became an ambassador in seventh grade.

How have you grown during your time at Pace?

I’ve become more confident and outgoing since I started at Pace. I can sometimes be shy and more reserved until I am comfortable around others; however, as I've grown at Pace, I’ve been much more talkative and energetic. I am more responsible and organized with my academics. I take the initiative to talk to my teachers on my own when I have questions.

Who has had the greatest impact on your time at Pace?

Mrs. Johnson has had the biggest impact on me at Pace because she’s always so nice and encouraging. Her coaching in volleyball and track has really helped me get better and feel more confident in my skills. She always makes me smile, and that means a lot to me.

What is your favorite thing about Pace?

My favorite thing about Pace is being an ambassador because I get to meet prospective families and share what it’s like to be a student here. As a new student in middle school, I did not know that I would be interested in helping other prospective students with their decisions on coming to Pace. I became an ambassador in seventh grade, and it's one of the things that I love most about going to Pace!

I also love the ICGL trips—they let me explore new places with friends while learning about different cultures. I like how all of the teachers are very willing to help you achieve your goals and be successful in learning.
