Class of 2031

What year did you start at Pace?

I joined Pace in 6th grade!

What’s one thing you wish you knew when you started at Pace?

I was really nervous that no one would want to welcome the new kids, but everyone was so kind and friendly. From the very beginning of the admission process, everyone made me feel welcomed and included.

What activities are you involved in at Pace?

Since being at Pace, I’ve also tried new things, like participating in chess tournaments, playing tennis, and joining Model UN, which has quickly become one of my favorite activities.

How has Pace prepared you for college both academically and non-academically?

Academically, Pace is very rigorous, which means if you do well in your classes, you are very prepared for college academically. Non-academically, I have learned many new interests at Pace that I would love to participate in and use to make friends in college.

What is your favorite class? Do you have a favorite teacher?

Right now my favorite class is math and that is how I have always been, I just really love math because when you learn one thing it can solve so many problems. My favorite teacher is Mr. Bethea, the seventh-grade English teacher, because he makes English super interesting and does a good job of connecting what we read to what we already know.

How did you know Pace was the right fit?

I knew Pace was the right fit as soon as my shadow day. Everyone was so nice, and all the teachers were super awesome. I instantly knew Pace was the place for me. I am constantly surrounded by people who are supportive. No matter the teacher or your grade in the class, all the teachers genuinely believe in your success.
