Our Lower School art classroom quite literally bursts with color, creative energy and joy. Inside, students get their hands dirty as they explore techniques, cultures and their artistic personalities—and then proudly display their work for all their friends to see. In addition to acquiring skills and concepts, our students experiment with a range of materials, from spray paint and clay to textiles and pastels. The program establishes practical skills and conceptual knowledge; provides myriad avenues for self-expression; and integrates with our science, STEAM and global studies programs to encourage a well-rounded worldview.
