Chad Cook ’95

Chad Cook ’95 is an independent sports marketing consultant and sales representative who partners with collegiate and high school sports marketing properties to develop and grow their sponsorship programs. He currently works with the South Atlantic Conference, a Division II NCAA Athletic Conference, and Scholastic Sports Marketing, LLC, a national high school sports marketing company. 

Chad gained his marketing, sales and event management experience while serving nearly 15 years as assistant commissioner for the Big South Conference. In this position, he was responsible for all aspects of the Division I Conference’s marketing and sponsorship program, including client development and retention, revenue generation, sponsor fulfillment, branding and media coordination. He also managed all marketing and promotional strategies for the League’s 18 championships and the Big South Digital Network. In 2010, Chad created the Big South 5K Road Race, a community fundraising event that has raised more than $160,000 for middle school athletic programs in Charlotte, N.C. He has served as event director of the race for the past eight years.

Chad holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Furman University and a master’s degree in sports management from the United State Sports Academy. He currently resides in Charlotte with his wife, Erin, and their two children, Lacey (10) and Reid (7).
