Whitney Allsopp Jackson ’98

With over sixteen years of non-profit management experience, Whitney A. Jackson is a driven professional who specializes in resource development, volunteer engagement, special event planning, board development, program outcomes, and project management.

Jackson is passionate about youth initiatives, education issues, and meeting the needs of underserved families. She has been blessed to work in a variety of leadership positions with organizations such as Girl Scouts of Southern Pennsylvania, Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania, Council for Children’s Rights, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, TNTP (The New Teacher Project), and the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Gaston County. Currently, Jackson is the Executive Director of Warrick Dunn Charities, Inc.

A native Atlantan, Jackson received a dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Emory University. She also holds an M.A. in Social Work with High Distinction from the University of Pennsylvania. While attending Emory, Jackson received the 2002 Humanitarian Award, the University’s highest recognition of philanthropy and service for faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, while attending Penn, she was honored with the 2003 A. Philip Randolph Award for her outstanding leadership and service in the School of Social Policy and Practice.

Jackson is committed to public service and an active volunteer in her community with the Junior League of Charlotte, Charlotte Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Gastonia-Piedmont Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She served as a member of the H.L. McCrorey Family YMCA’s Board of Managers from 2012–2017 and chaired the Financial Development, Member Experience, and Board Development/Diversity and Inclusion Committees during her tenure. Jackson currently resides in Belmont, North Carolina, with her husband Kevin Jackson and daughter, Isabel.
