IN WHAT GRADE DID YOU JOIN PACE?
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PACE?
Pace for me was everything I needed in a school. It is very challenging academically, prioritizes the arts, has a tremendous theatre program, feels like a family and gives the students enough—but not too much—freedom.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN AT PACE?
I am involved in all of our theatre shows, as well as an active participant in the Drama Club, Student Ambassadors and Student Advisory Board. This year, I joined the ICGL Urban Revitalization Fellowship Program.
HOW HAVE YOU GROWN DURING YOUR TIME AT PACE?
I have learned more about myself and how hard I can work. Pace pushes me to get better every day and prioritize.
WHO HAS HAD THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOUR DURING YOUR TIME AT PACE?
Mr. Bryan, my acting teacher, because he takes time out of his very busy days to help me find pieces that not only suit me, but will challenge me. He has taken me under his wing and given me advice to last a lifetime.
WHAT SHOULD PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS KNOW ABOUT PACE?
It truly is a family. I have never felt so welcomed and so loved by so many people in my entire life.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE CLASS?
My favorite class was my freshman history class with Mrs.Terry. She had a way of making everything we learned interesting and exciting. She also understands our busy schedules and was always willing to help outside of class.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHERS?
My teachers want me to succeed. They like to challenge me, but they also ask for my feedback, which I appreciate because I feel like I’m being listened to. I also enjoy getting to know my teachers outside of the classroom, and I feel that I can go to them if I ever need anything.
