Michael

IN WHAT GRADE DID YOU JOIN PACE?

Eleventh Grade.

WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE YOU INVOLVED IN AT PACE?

One of my favorite aspects of Pace is the opportunity to try out a variety of activities. I participate on the Cross Country team, Model UN, TEDx, Chess Club, PASEC (Pace Academy Student Entrepreneurship Challenge), and Student Ambassadors. I have also been involved in the theater program through the Winter Showcase.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PACE?

Picking Pace was one of the easiest choices I've had to make. Aside from knowing that I would be academically challenged, Pace had the feeling of a tight-knit family, always ready and willing to help each other out.

HOW HAVE YOU GROWN DURING YOUR TIME AT PACE?

Pace really values developing students' independence and interpersonal skills. I've found myself much more willing and able to ask for help and reach out to people.

WHAT DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING IN THE FUTURE?

Like many people my age, I am still quite unsure about what my future holds. With that being said, I feel confident that my time at Pace equipped me with the necessary tools to think deeply and question inquisitively to tackle whatever I take on.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PEERS AT PACE?

I am lucky to be surrounded by an academically, artistically, and athletically gifted peer group that pushes me to improve as well.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHERS?

My teachers are all highly passionate in their particular subject area, always looking for ways to help their students to be as successful as possible, and always available to help in any way. I not only feel comfortable, but I feel eager when reaching out to any teacher or faculty member in the school, as I love to talk with them and learn from them.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE PACE COMMUNITY?

I love to describe the Pace community with the word "family." The Pace community feels like one big, loving family, always ready and willing to help each other out.
