Capital, Endowment and Principal Gifts

Capital, endowment and principal gifts are an investment in the future of Pace Academy. The generous donors who support Pace in these ways further our strategic initiatives, secure Pace’s future for current and future generations of students and ensure that Pace remains on the forefront of education—recognized as one of the finest independent schools in the country.

Capital Giving at Pace Academy

Since Pace Academy was founded, our community has generously supported capital fundraising initiatives, helping to create the outstanding campus, facilities and programming our faculty, staff and students enjoy today.

The Kam Memar Lower School, which opened in late 2021, is Pace Academy’s most recent capital undertaking. More than 1,100 gifts to the Accelerate Pace capital campaign raised more than $33 million for the new Lower School, bringing to campus 36,500 square-feet of new state-of-the-art learning spaces. The campaign also provided for renovations to the existing facilities and updates to the surrounding grounds, including the addition of The World’s Greatest Playground.

The Arthur M. Blank Family Upper School, Riverview Sports Complex and Walsh Field, Garcia Family Middle School, Inman Center, and the Fine Arts Center are other signature spaces on the Pace campus made possible through generous giving to capital campaigns.

Principal Gifts

Principal gifts, which connect to one or more of the six priority areas of Pace's Strategic Plan, bring impactful and even transformational support to the school. The plan’s priority areas include Academic & Institutional Excellence; Community & Communications; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Enrollment; Global Citizenship; and Student Life & School Culture.

The Office of Advancement works with the donor to tailor each principal gift to personal philanthropic goals while ensuring that the gift aligns with Pace’s strategic plan and mission. Recognition varies according to the donor and gift, but examples include named campus spaces, endowments or awards. If you are interested in learning more about principal gifts, please read this information and reach out to the Office of Advancement. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Pace Academy Endowment

The Pace Academy Endowment is a growing pool of funds that provides Pace a permanent monetary foundation, safeguarding its strength and stability and ensuring that it continues to grow and flourish.

Donors to the endowment give directly with cash or securities, or through a variety of planned giving vehicles. These contributions, which can be unrestricted or designated for specific purposes, are invested and their earnings supply resources for school priorities including faculty salaries and professional development, student financial aid, and the extraordinary academic, athletics and arts programs that set Pace apart. The endowment includes a general fund as well as 32 named endowments, most created by families or foundations in tribute to loved ones or other generous donors.
