Capital and Endowment Giving

Capital and endowment gifts are an investment in the future of Pace Academy. The generous donors who support Pace in these ways further our strategic initiatives, secure Pace’s future for current and future generations of students and ensure that it remains on the forefront of education—recognized as one of the finest independent schools in the country.

Capital Giving at Pace Academy

Capital giving to Pace Academy, since its founding, has supported transformative building and renovation initiatives, creating the school we have today. The Arthur M. Blank Family Upper School, the Riverview Athletic Complex and Walsh Field, the Garcia Family Middle School, the Inman Center and the Fine Arts Center are among the capital projects our dedicated community has made possible.

In 2020, we launched Accelerate Pace, a two-phase initiative that will ensure all of Pace’s facilities match the extraordinary caliber of the Pace education. The centerpiece of the $35-million first phase is the Kam Memar Lower School, a 36,500 square-foot state-of-the-art facility, set to open in the fall of 2021. Eventual plans for phase two of Accelerate Pace include restoring and renovating Pace’s iconic Castle.

Ongoing and generous support from the Pace family in support of Pace’s capital undertakings ensures our faculty and students have the learning spaces, tools and technologies required for teaching and learning in today’s changing and increasingly global world.

“As we accelerate support to the next level, we will grow our community with state-of-the-art facilities, enhanced technology and spaces that are designed and accessible to all students. Our support of this new phase leaves a legacy for generations to come.”

The Pace Academy Endowment

The Pace Academy Endowment is a growing pool of funds that provides Pace a permanent monetary foundation, safeguarding its strength and stability and ensuring that it continues to grow and flourish.

Donors to the endowment give directly with cash or securities, or through a variety of Planned Giving vehicles. Their contributions, which can be unrestricted or designated for specific purposes, are invested, and earnings supply resources for school priorities including faculty salaries and professional development, student financial aid, and the extraordinary academic, athletic and arts programs that set Pace apart. The endowment includes a general fund as well as 30 named endowments, most created by families or foundations—often in tribute to loved ones or other esteemed individuals.

Making a Lasting Impact

The generosity of our forward-looking and deeply committed capital and endowment donors ensures Pace will serve students and families for all generations to come. We are grateful for their foresight and thoughtfulness in making gifts with a lasting impact—providing generous support, vital to the future of our school.
